August 21st 2013 - Denver

Well ! we have been at Steph and Erics for 10 days now -- so much has happened and we have been so busy, I will try and recap what has been going on and what we have been doing.

Sunday the 11th we went to church, Ellen had the Scripture, so we went in to watch her give her Scripture, Church was very nice. 

Monday the 12th the girls had a back to school night - just to meet the teachers and see there class rooms, Reed and I stayed home with the 2 little ones, the girls are so excited to start school tomorrow.

Tuesday the 13th got up and got the girls ready for school, we walked them down to school, Ellen is starting 3rd grade and Bug is 1st grade she will be going all day long for the 1st time ! and taking a lunch - getting so big !

We walked down to get them, after school, and they both had great days, they just love school " at least for now " Wednesday Steph has YW and Eric is out of town, so the kids and Reed and I had a movie night - we watched    The Incredibles, they loved it.

Thursday's the kids all have Gymnastics, so after school we give them a snack and then head right over to the gym, they all 3 are in classes and they all love it.

Saturday the 17th was Olivia's birthday, so last night we decorated the house after they all went to bed, and got all the presents wrapped and ready. Steph made chocolate pancakes her favorite for Breakfast, they Steph, Olivia and I got ready and we took her to Build a Bear for her birthday present from Reed and I - She picked a My little Pony, called Twilight Sparkle, she loves her and got to pick her   out and her clothes and a brush and her side kick Spike, she is one happy BUG !

Took her to lunch at Einsteins Bagels and back home to show off her new Pony -for dinner she wanted Haystacks, Steph makes them and its her favorite dinner, after dinner she got to open all her presents, then she picked a ice cream pie instead of a cake for her birthday cake, everyone loved that, so in the end she had a great day.

Sunday the 18th we went to church and right after we drove to the Garden of the Gods and Reed took  pictures of Ellen for her Baptism and family pictures, we had perfect weather, and the pictures turned out great !! we will have to go back and spend time hiking a little bit more another time.

August 19th its Steve's Birthday, they actually celebrated yesterday, its just easier on a Sunday, he had a nice Birthday, and today was the Boys 1st day of school - Ryan is in 2nd grade and Ben is in 3rd Grade, Brooke won't start until next week and she will be in full day Pre-school.

We had the Gulbransen's over for a family birthday party at the park next to Steph's house, we had pizza and salad and fruit, root beer and Costco cake, we had a fun time, the kids played ball and we had a piñata, plus there is a great play ground for the kids, us adults got to visit, so nice to see everyone.

Tuesday the 20th of August Reed flew out to SLC for a 2nd dose of his infusion, Steph and I went to the new Adult education class that her Stake started today on the BOM, we just loved it and the teacher was great, they have daycare provided so it will be a nice break for Steph when I'm gone - I will start the BOM again now with this class and try and stay up with them so when I come back in November I will be right where they are.

Steph and I went to Ikea and had lunch there, and got some great Idea's, we love to go there and just wonder.

Eric met us at Gymnastics and switched us cars and places, so we could meet Kim at the Temple and so a 6:00 Session, this was the 1st time for both of us to see the new film, and we LOVED it, can't wait for Reed to see it !!!!!

 

August 7th 2013

We got to SLC Saturday around 3, after a fun weekend in Jackson Hole.

Stopped at the Condo and we took the battery out of the Scooter and the charger, the batteries were dead in both the BMW and Scooter, the Scooter was an easier choice to charge, so we took the stuff up to Mom and Dads to charge.

Sharon and Bob are here with Aidan, they got here on Friday morning.

We had a great time with them, mostly planning and getting things together for mom's birthday that we will celebrate on Sunday, the pictures below are mostly birthday party

Saturday  pm we all went to dinner at Red Butte Cafe in Foothill Village, and then just visit on the patio and watch everyone swim.

Sunday Reed and I went to church, so nice to see all our friends and hear some great Testimonies and  Lessons, I really miss this ward !!!

Bob has bought some land about 40 acres just town the road from them in all the rock, it sounds really cool if the project comes together, should small little bungalows nestled in to the rock, anyway I might  be interested if the cost is reasonable.

The birthday party turned out fun, Cory came up with his family and Sheila came with her new boyfriend Ben, then all the regular family, its a lot of work to have them all here but its fun to see everyone.

Mom seemed to enjoy the day.

Sharon and Bob left Monday at about 1 this afternoon, I had a Dr appointment at 9:30, with Dr Edwards, she did a mini Physical - she is booked until next summer, she didn't want to go that long in between visits, she also wants to have a bone density test done today and she will biopsy a small spot on the lower right leg, its just a small spot that doesn't ever go away, I will have that done today - Wednesday the 7th of August at 2:45 - Reed has his Infusion today from 9:00 until noon, and then he will just go to the office for the rest of his work day.

Tuesday I went to Thanksgiving Point just by my self, I just really enjoy this place, I would have loved to take mom but she can't walk and didn't want to be out in the heat, I took some pictures and added them below.

Thursday morning I met Kathern for breakfast at eggs in the city, we had a nice long visit before she had to go to work, she is having a lot of problems with the place she is renting, and is trying to get out of there, she is still going to church and her Bishop is helping her !

 The rest if the week was crazy busy, I made appointments with everyone I could think of, we went to see the Mitchell's - They are having some health problems, Gary had a same Stroke last Saturday and Pam is still not too good and may have to have another Surgury on her brain - but she is afraid and will probably not go forward with it, we also saw the Jeppsons, they are doing well and it was super fun,to see them.

On Friday AM I went to the Pharmacy to see everyone, saw all my friends it was so much fun, earlier in the week when I was making appointments to see everyone I was getting ready for the day thinking about the Pharmacy and suddenly the phone rings and it was the Pharmacy, Tiffany called me to see if I would come back to work, told her I was still traveling but very flattered to be asked.

Joselyn is PG as well as Courtney and Stella, they have hired 6 people to replace me and Richard did finally mention to them that he had no idea how much work I did while I was there.

Visited Sara, and Peter and there cute baby Lucy, I took them a cute gift and had a nice visit she is a bit Colicky, Sara is super tired, but looks great.

We went to the Temple Friday evening and saw lots of our old friends it was great and then we had to pack up the car, that took a lot longer then we expected - but we got it done.

Then Saturday we just got up and left about 7 am took I 80 this time and had a great drive to Steph's we got there a little after 4- so fun to see everyone !!!
