So I got myself up and showered and out the door by 7:30 - took the movie back and just kept walking and walking and walking - I walked all the way up to the top of Diamond Head from the hotel, the mistake I made was not wearing the right shoes and sock, I was wearing my flip flops, my feet didn't like that too much and I will pay the price.
But what a great trip it was, I saw the best view on the Island.
Turns out I walked over 26000 steps that means I walked over 15 miles - I'm pretty impressed that I did that many miles in one day, reminds me of Trek last July !!!
While I was gone Reed did the laundry and while in the laundry room he ran into Bob Winegar and his wife, they are here with the Simms, and the Lewins will be coming next week for a week, I really wish we could have seen them also, any way Reed and the Winegars and the Simms made a plan to go to lunch with us as soon as I got back, so we did, had a great visit.
They are great people and we Love to spend time with them.
We ate at a great restaurant just down the street, had the best meal that I have had here on the Island - but it was very expensive for lunch, sometimes its just worth it - Plus I just walked 15 miles and was starving.
At 7:30 we went up to the owners lounge and watched the fireworks the Hilton puts on every Friday night, that was fun we watched with our friends the Simms and the Winegars
