Last Friday the 29th Reed took 1/2 day off and we went to a Greek restaurant and had a great lunch, then drove up to Amelia Island, was a very nice drive - saw some beautiful places and walked around the cute little town, did some shopping - the weather was just perfect and we saw a lot, it seems a little to remote for living for us, so we won't put this one on our possible choices for retirement, but a fun little place to see. The picture below in a home in historic Amelia Island.
Came back to town for a 7:00 pm reservation at a really nice beach front restaurant - wow was it yummy we had Steak and Lobster and a wonderful salad - soooooo good - we had a perfect table with a beautiful view of the ocean, great service !!
Saturday we checked out early - there is a picture below of the sunrise we enjoyed on our way down south. We are staying at a RCI place in Lehigh Florida its is near Ft. Meyer and is on a golf course, its a little dated, but we have a corner unit with a perfect view of the golf course, lots of windows - we love it.
As soon as we unpacked Reed went to get the car washed and when he got back we cleaned our bikes, they were so bad after being on the back of the car for 3 months in horrible weather, very yucky, but we did it and then took them for a ride, so much fun !!! its been a long time since we have been on them.
Easter Sunday !!
We went to church at a building really close to where we are staying, it was very nice, after church we came back to condo and changed - we went to Naples and loved it, had a great time walking on the beach and seeing the most beautiful part of Florida so far, this place is defiantly on the possible places to live, we loved it, its just so nice and clean and pretty.
Drove over to Cape Coral, its not that great, the cool thing is most all the homes here are on water, they have water access everywhere, and everyone has boats, Reed likes that part.
We had a really nice Easter, but missed the kids and the regular stuff, we do on Easter.
