Saturday and Sunday, perfect weather and totally enjoyable weekend, Saturday we just relaxed all morning and enjoyed the condo, in the afternoon we walked over to the club house and the near by ski resort, here are some pictures !!
This is the view of the ski resort from where we are staying, just beautiful
Another veiw of the ski resort
This is the name and entrance to the Ski Resort
Cute little creek by the general store
This is the entrance to our Resort, Its called Vacation Village at the Berkshires, its very nice.
This is a Panoramic picture, don't think it turned out to well
some beautiful flowers on our walk to the ski resort

On Sunday we had a great day at Church, the ward we went to was in Pittsfield, its a bit bigger city, then the town we are staying in. After Church we went on to Hancock to a Shaker Village, it is a old Shaker Village that has been retored and all the original building are still there and most of the equipment that they used to live and make things, we really enjoyed learning about them and there ways and religon.
This is a round barn that they built and has been very famous, its really cool and full of animals, today as well as a Quilt display upstairs, beautifully built building
This is a big home that a hundred Shakers lived in at the same time, this man gave us a tour and told us about the Shakers lives and traditions
This is the kitchen that they used and it is amazing
This is the back side of the home that held 100 people, they lived in this home men on the east side and women on the west side, they do everything separate, so crazy !!

September 27th, 2013

We checked out of our hotel and went straight to Sharon Vermont to see Joseph Smiths Birth place

This is the Monument that stands today it is just beautiful, the missionaries take such great care of it and the grounds

All that is left is a hole with large fountation rocks, it is pretty large, may have been used as a inn, or ??? nobody knows for sure - but its larger than most homes at this time
This rock bridge is the orginial, it's so cool and looks pretty safe

Had to take a picture of this cool covered bridge, there are a lot of them in this part of the country

We went over to Whitingham, VT to see the birthplace of Brigham Young, this little marker is acutally in someone front yard, kinda funny, they do have a monument in town and the sign below as you go into town
Below is the pictures of our place we are staying for the next week, Friday to Friday, the place is called
Vacation Village in the Berkshires, is really nice, but a long way from everything, we stopped at the store on the way to the resort, we kind of knew this was the care, should be a great week.

September 26th 2013

Today we got up early and went to McDonalds to pickup some Oatmeal and we drove to the beach to eat it on our way to Sharon Vermont.
Another great day of sunshine and cool weather, we just love it - its just so beautiful, we drove over the White Mountains and saw the Mt. Washington Resort, this is amazing, we heard a little of the history of this amazing place, Reed took some really good pictures, I have some simple ones here.
The Man that built this place bought 10,000 acres in 1900 for $1.00 per Acre and bought 10,000 acres, then he stared building this beautiful place and he had it done in 18 months, completly finished and ready for guests, it cost him 1.2 million in 1901, it has almost all the orginal things in it still, and had Albert Eienstien put in the electrical, it was one of the 1st places to have it, most homes at this time didn't have electicity and it also had a phone, it may take 6 hours to connect to New York, but they did have a phone, this place was built for the very wealthy, and they had all the conveniences  possible.

The drive was so beautiful we loved the color that is happening this time of year !

We are staying in West Lebanon NH, this evening its really close to Sharon Vermont, we couldn't find anything in Sharon Vermont.

September 24th 2013

This just a really cool looking building - like a lot of the buildings here
After Checking out Plymouth, we drove up to Boston, WOW I love this city, we got a great parking and found the Freedom Trail right away and started the walk, we saw some of the great history spots.
I have added pictures of some of the buildings including Paul Revere and the inside of the oldest Church still in use today in the USA. there is a picture of Paul Revere's home and statue of him, we loved this city, very clean and not so crowed as some of the big cities we have visited.

more cute window boxes

This a memorial for all the fallen solders, they are dogs tags, just outside of the church
This is very typical for the restaurants here, so inviting
Just a super cute store front, I just love fall and the colors, wow

This is how the pews look in the oldest Church still working, they are like little boxes, this would be great in our Church and just put the family names on the outside !

These pictures are of the pretty skyline, I LOVE this place
