We had a Relief Society Mid week meeting this evening, the subject is continuing education, I learned so much, and may start school again when we settle down in a year or so.
The 4th is Mutual and Steph went to the lake with the youth for a boating activity, she had a fun time until one of the YW had a Seizure, she is a Diabetic and was low on sugar and cold, it was a very scary time for Steph and the others there, everything turned out ok, lots of blessings this evening for them.
The 5th we went to the Mansion again, they had a Bird show and Mountain Man with skins, Gold panners and spinners, weavers, a petting zoo etc. Talmage had fun - Steph got a picture with a Bald Eagle and an Indian.
Saturday the 7th Reed and I left for Kanas City, we stayed right in down town at the Sheridan Hotel, its a very nice place to stay, but Reed and I had a horrible night sleep, we don't know why, got up early Sunday to head out to Jen and Steve's. the drive was just beautiful, we took a different route and loved it so much, got to Ryan's Football game about 6:00 pm beautiful evening to watch him, Steve is the assistant Coach - we had fun at the game, great to see the kids again, Celebrated Brooke's 4th Birthday on the Thursday - she wanted to have Pizza for dinner, so we went to LaRosa's for dinner and after home for Brownies and IceCream, she opened the gift we got her, it was a piece of Luggage with Disney Princesses on it and pink her favorite color.
The four days at Jen's went super fast, she is so busy with school and work, I helped a little with the kids etc. but the time went super fast.
Left for Virginia on Friday the 13th, we are staying at the Shenandoah Crossing, its a Blue Green Resort, we had are own little cabin, its older but really nice and a great view of the lake, the down side is we have a long walk to the cabin from the car, so we just didn't bring all of are stuff down. Saturday we got up early and took the Amtrack Train to DC, the train ride was so nice, and we had a great time in DC we went to the Lincoln Museum and to the Ford Theater, where he was shot by Booth, the whole thing is just so cool to see - after that we went to lunch and then to the Air and Space Museum, we had a great day and perfect weather to enjoy, we ate dinner at the train station, which is super nice and lots for places to choose from.
Went to a Branch on Sunday for Church, super nice building all new and really nice people, they were all so shocked that we were there for a vacation, I don't think people come here for travel much.
Monday Reed worked and I started a scarf for Bug and took a walk around the end of the lake, this is just such a beautiful place to be, we love it.
