August 22nd Ellen's 8th Birthday

We made El's favorite breakfast this morning, we call it Egg on Top - she loved it ! then off to school and right after school she had Gymnastics so Steph took all the kids except for Reese, I stayed home with her so I  could make El's favorite dinner, which was Pork Loin and Artichokes, Potatoes and Carrots, she loved it also, all in all a really fun day for her, we did presents after dinner and ice cream and left over cake from last Saturday, we celebrated Bug and El's Birthday on the weekend and had everyone come over to the park behind there house, had all of us and the Gulbransen's, had a lot of fun and games - we had pizza and fruit salad and Watermelon and a spinach salad. Reed and I had a yummy salad and fruit - soooo good and so good to see everyone.

Steph and Eric took El to dinner on the 23 rd just a Birthday date for the 3 of them, she loved going with just her mom and dad, we got to stay home with the 3 little ones, that was fun for us.

Saturday the 23rd we all got up and ready for a family bike ride, took us a while to get going, had to pump up tires and get the kids ready, while we were getting ready Elwas riding her bike with a friend and then with Reed and I soon we were on our way, in the mean time it had gotten hot out and very sunny, at a midway point we stopped to get a drink and El turned white and hurried to sit down and just as she got to a bench she fainted, we are sure she was just dehydrated, so sad, so Eric jumped on Reeds bike and went home to get a car and Reed carried El up the path to a shady area on the grass by the road so we could load her up and take her home, Reed came back down to ride Eric's bike up the hill with the 2 little ones in it and I got up the hill with El's bike, Reed gave her a blessing as we waited for Eric to get back, we just kept her down and drinking water, she and the kids watched a moving during the heat of the day, then El started feeling better and  Steph and I took her to the American Girl doll store, so she could pick out her American girl doll, she picked Caroline - she is the one she loves the most, I took her and Steph to lunch, we went Panera Bread for lunch she loved it.

Turned out to be a nice day, just a little traumatic in the AM.
