June 13th 2014

Full Moon and Friday the 13th, this should be a Great day!
Yesterday I got ready for the day and at 9:00 am I headed over to Branson to see George Dyer in concert, so I met up with my friend Jeanie Anderson and we got great tickets, right in front on the front row, this concert was so great, I bought the DVD, and I even got to dance with him, "so fun"

He is a Tenor and sings Opera beautifully, but sings everything else also, Had so much fun seeing him.

Here are 2 of his children he and his wife have 4 kids, his youngest daughter was at girls camp and his wife was sick, so we didn't get to see or hear them.

Me and Jeannie, she is just so nice and friendly, we has a great time this week.

Picture of me Greorge, Jeannie, Kendra, and Mitchell, his 2 kids

This is where I come to sit in the morning - mid way through my walking, its just so peaceful and beautiful, I can't believe this is my last day here, I will miss it.

June 11th 2014

Took a great walk today, down by the lake and all through the resort, perfect weather!

This is the Lake - it looks stormy, but it was really perfect walking weather - I put my hands in the lake and it was warmer than the air, the water temp is in the upper 70's

Reed and I went down to the old town Branson - there is a great shopping area with all the nice shops and restaurants, beautiful walks all along the lake/river - we had dinner at Joes Crab Shack and enjoyed the perfect weather.

They have this beautiful train that runs each day, Its called the Ozark Zephyr Railway, and its depot is historic also and looks just as perfect as the train it was built in 1906, really wish we could have done this, but it leaves each day before Reed gets done working and we won't be here on Saturday, maybe next time we are in town.

This is the cutest store, we walked all through it, its just like walking back in time, has all the old fashioned candy and toys - just everything a 5 and 10 would have, we had a ton of fun going all though this store, super fun, we even found caps for the cap gun we got Tadge!

Jeannie drove us all over this it a building that a lot of other faiths come to see, its kind of like there Temple "sort of"

Me and the girls at Lunch at Olive Garden

King Kong, just some random pictures I took along the way with the girls.

This is a great view - I took this from the nicest hotel in Branson, they have the best spot for sure.

Reed and I got tickets to the Grand Country Jubilee, the main attraction is a group called the New South Gospel, they are a Quartet and super good, we really enjoyed it.

This is Jim Dandy or his real name is James Haage, very talented, he plays all everything and sings, but  he is thier comedian, and here he is as Dolly Parton, so funny!

This girls name is Jackie Brown, she is the only female in the show.

Lots of Costume changes, it made is fun to watch

This was a fun day!

June 6th 2014

We left Osage Beach this morning in a rain storm, and drove right out of it to Olean, to the Testical Festival, Reed wanted to see it and get a shirt, it was in a super little and run down town, only 126 people in the town - no street signs and just a couple of little building, one bar and a antique shop a shop that a guy is fixing up and making furniture to sell there, there was a little park and that is where they had most of the festival set up, Reed got a shirt but not Testicals, "he is Vegan after all"
they had to set up in the rain, but the rain stopped just after 10:00 am, they must have been praying, it was just perfect for them.
Just amazing they have this festival here - there is just not much here and so few people, its just too funny

They stop you in the road going into town and collect $5.00 per person before you even see what your getting yourself into.

This is pretty much the whole town.

Reed and his new shirt - he got one for Scott also,
We only stayed up in Olean for about 30 min and we were on our way to Branson, our place is called Silverleaf Resort, it is about 30 min for the down center, so that's a bummer.
But from Olean it only took us a couple of hours, that is a switch we are usually traveling all day long on Saturdays, so this was a treat for Reed.

We got to the resort about 3:00 and found out we can't checkin until 5, so we drove all the way back to town - this is what the landscape looks like, it is all hilly and millions of stairs, this was a beast to move into, we were pooped, it you can't so stairs this is not the place for you!

We had to carry all our luggage up all these stairs, we got our workout today for sure.

But its really pretty, we are really close to the lake, but can't see it from our place, way too many trees!

Its dated but decorated super cute for a camp type place.

The pool is super nice, and they have Mini Golf we played just before bed on the day we checked in, we have nature tails, there is lots to do here, we should have a good time.

We went to the Dixie Stampede on Sunday night, I liked it Reed didn't love it, but is was super fun to see the beautiful horses.
This just so pretty, you see it as you drive up to the Stampede

This is the stage

Just us waiting for the show to start

Beautiful Horses.

So much fun to see these Buffolo, come out and to be rounded up again.

My favorite horse

Beautiful stalls and you walk by all these pretty stalls and the horses as you go into the Theater, its done really well.

June 6th 2014

On Monday night the 2nd Reed and I drove up to Bagnell Dam, its nothing like the Hoover dam, but we had to see what was holding back all this beautiful water to form this wonderful lake, its small but does the job, then on Tuesday eve we took the Celebrity Cruise, this ship took us down a couple of the fingers of the lake where we saw some amazing homes, they have over 900 miles of lake and over 1100 miles of shore line, this is one of the only privately owned lakes in the country, its is owned by the electric company here, the same one the owner of the Castle Mr. Synder started years ago, now I don't know who owns the company. 90% of the home owners here only live here part time, these are their 2nd homes - its amazing how many homes are here, we heard there are 50,000 boat on this lake, and I believe it, there are so many homes and most all of them have a boat.
This was a really fun way to see and hear about the lake.

I took pictures of some of the pretty homes sitting all a round the lake.

This is the largest home on the lake, he owns the Diamond Dog food Co. he had a beach made for his grandkids, had tons of sand brought in for them to play in, its was an amazing home! I heard it has over 30,000 square feet and its on the golf course also!

This is a shot at the golf course here, it is so pretty, the setting is perfect.

another shot of the golf course.

Reed is a happy camper, being the captain of his own ship, we rented a boat for a couple of hours and he loved it, we got up close and saw some more beautiful homes and put are feet in the water, ths water is just so warm, we mentioned this to the man that rented us the boat and he said "oh this isn't warm, its gets to 90 degrees in the summer, so right now is nothing.

This was a party boat, I just thought about how much fun this would be for the family to be with us, lots of seating, really roomy - Loved it.

Notice the Hellicopter and the beautiful race boat and all the other toys, crazy!

This was one of my favorite homes on the lake.

Metal Palm trees.

This was one of the most fun places we have been, lots to do here.
