June 6th 2014

On Monday night the 2nd Reed and I drove up to Bagnell Dam, its nothing like the Hoover dam, but we had to see what was holding back all this beautiful water to form this wonderful lake, its small but does the job, then on Tuesday eve we took the Celebrity Cruise, this ship took us down a couple of the fingers of the lake where we saw some amazing homes, they have over 900 miles of lake and over 1100 miles of shore line, this is one of the only privately owned lakes in the country, its is owned by the electric company here, the same one the owner of the Castle Mr. Synder started years ago, now I don't know who owns the company. 90% of the home owners here only live here part time, these are their 2nd homes - its amazing how many homes are here, we heard there are 50,000 boat on this lake, and I believe it, there are so many homes and most all of them have a boat.
This was a really fun way to see and hear about the lake.

I took pictures of some of the pretty homes sitting all a round the lake.

This is the largest home on the lake, he owns the Diamond Dog food Co. he had a beach made for his grandkids, had tons of sand brought in for them to play in, its was an amazing home! I heard it has over 30,000 square feet and its on the golf course also!

This is a shot at the golf course here, it is so pretty, the setting is perfect.

another shot of the golf course.

Reed is a happy camper, being the captain of his own ship, we rented a boat for a couple of hours and he loved it, we got up close and saw some more beautiful homes and put are feet in the water, ths water is just so warm, we mentioned this to the man that rented us the boat and he said "oh this isn't warm, its gets to 90 degrees in the summer, so right now is nothing.

This was a party boat, I just thought about how much fun this would be for the family to be with us, lots of seating, really roomy - Loved it.

Notice the Hellicopter and the beautiful race boat and all the other toys, crazy!

This was one of my favorite homes on the lake.

Metal Palm trees.

This was one of the most fun places we have been, lots to do here.
