The drive was beautiful and the park is wonderful to see, we took a great hike up to the Robert M. Snyder Mansion, they call it the Castle here.
Just thought I wouldn't have to type so much it I put these signs in my Blog hopefully we can read the words, its pretty cool, we just loved this afternoon so much.
We had to climb hundreds of stairs to get to the top of the mountain where the Castle is - can't believe how hard this would have been to build this in 1903, they built is mostly of Sandstone and pulled up the mountain by card and Mule.
This is a view from the Castle
We came to the water tower first, this is super hugh, the water was keep at the top and there help lived in the lower floors.
This is the Front door - it is gated - vandals bured the water tower in 1976, so sad.
This is one of the carriage houses, they burned the same day as the Castle
This is all that is left of the Castle and the weather has cause some additional damage
Its really big and still beautiful and amazing where it sits, the view is amazing, Snyder bought 5000 acres.
This is the veiw walking up toward the castle
This is one of the fireplaces, they believe the fire started from sparks from the Chimney
Still up at the Castle, enjoying the view, they also had 9 green houses up here.
Again hopfully we can read these signs and get more info
Walking toward the Spring area, this water is a really beautiful blue, can't see it too much with this picture.
We hiked to Natural Bridge, its 70 feet wide, and spans 60 feet and reaches more than 100 feet in the air.
