July 18th, 2014

This morning Sharon and Bob and Reed and I and Tracy one of Sharons friends all met at Bodine's for Breakfast, it was yummy, after Reed and I drove over to the Lake - we were able to see Jen and Steve and the kids for a few minutes, Reed had to work, his last real day of work for Supervalu, and so he had a meeting this morning before breakfast then to a couple hours off until he could hook back up with them in Lake Tahoe, there isn't much for him to do, they haven't been giving him too much, but he did have a few meetings.
I walked around town and enjoyed myself until we were able to meet up with the kids at the outlets, that was so much fun to see them = even if it was only for a few min. they are having a lot of fun with their cousins and the grandparents and mostly just hiking and playing in the lakes.
Reed and I got down to Scott and Paulettes in the early afternoon and we went out for a early dinner, so nice to see them again.
This is Scott and Paulette's home in Ed Dorado Hills, they have had it for about a year and plan to sale it in another year and move down south again, its a nice home and we loved staying in it with them, had a really nice time and they are wonderful hosts.

Scott and Paulette at the wedding.

Saturday was Geran's and Marrisa's wedding day and we took Scott and Paulette up with us to Placerville, the wedding was in a cute old Shakspere company building, they use it for receptions and partys also, it turned out to be really nice.
Reed took lots of pictures, but they are on his camera, I have a few here.

This is the front entrance to the place they had the wedding.

All the tables looked so cute, I loved her colors, and Kelly made all the table decorations, super cute and a ton of work for her and Kaela.

Ben Braden and McKenna, Brandons, oldest 3 kids, super good and cute kids.

July 13th 2014, Sharon and Bob's

We got into Carson and Sharon and Bob's about 3:00 pm, we all went out for Sushi, was so yummy and its so nice to be here and seeing Sharon and Bob again, its been a couple of years and a lot has changed - Carson is growing up, Bob is still pretty slow, and Sharon is working at Suzie's shop in Virginia City part time, she seems to like doing it and she is good at it, I went to work with her on Monday and had her drop me off at the Cemetary, I walked all though there and then up and down the residential streets, finally to the shop Sharon works at, by then I was over heated and a little ill, so I sat down on a stool and tagged some jewelry for Sharon, we shared a salad for lunch and Reed came up and got me about 4:30.

The Virginia City Cemetary.

Downtown Virginia City, its the most orginally kept old city I have seen so far in our travels.

Pretty sunset, that we saw after we had a great Mexican feast, at a Mexican Restaurant near their home.

Sharon and I went for a really nice walk around Spooner Lake, the temp was perfect! so fun to spend time with me sister, we don't get to hang out too often.

We went up to the Lake to check it out and get out of the heat, we went to get Cheese Fondue, totally not on our diet, but we did it anyway this one time, came back down the mountain and stopped by Sharons rental and got a call from a friend of theirs, that there is a fire near their home, so we left quick and dropped Bob off on 50 to climb down the hill to the house, in case they wouldn't let anyone up there, we did get up to the house, they had the road closed but Sharon lives in the canyon and has horses, so they let us up.

It was so amazing to see the flames and smoke, when not 15 min. before we drove right past all of this mountain side and saw nothing, anyway Lightening Struck the mountain and it was a blaze.

We had a lot of fun watching the Helicopters and Airplanes fly over, it was pretty scary, but it was a ridge away from them, so we felt pretty safe.

I was up most of the night watching off and on mostly because I was so sick, not sure what was wrong with me but I didn't like it.

The planes has to stop when it got dark, so all they had were the hotshots ground crew, we had lot of Fireman and truck all around us thoughout the night.

They came to the door at 4:00 am Reed was sound asleep I had to wake him up to answer the door, we had to be prepared to evacute, so Reed loaded the car, but we never had to leave.

The fire did come close to us but, didn't ever come over the ridge, we could still see flames late this afternoon, and I could see lots of firemen up on the hill watching

This is what is looked like when we went to bed about 10:00 pm

All the Firemen Left the area about 4:00 pm and it started to rain so I think we must be ok, except there is tons of Thunder and Lightening going on.

The Evening of the 17th we celebrated Bob's 60's Birthday, we fixed a BBQ dinner for him some of their friends and Chris and Rindi, got to see them for the 1st time this trip - Andan has lost both of his front teeth, super cute.

I have really enjoyed the horses here by the cabin, we got to feed them watermelen and man do they LOVE that stuff, they are sweet animals, and great to look at.

This is the neighbor's house Ollie.

July 7th 2013 Salt Lake City

Steph and I met up at Memory Grove and let the kids play in the water, after we took them though City Creek and on to Wingers for wings for lunch, Steph just has to go to Wingers when she is in town, so this was our opportunity and we took it.

The kids found a cat to love on before going up to the creek in Memory Grove, Reese, just loves cats.

Me up with Steph and the Busby's at Thanksgiving Point this week also, the kids went all through the petting zoo and had a great time, with some of there cousins.

Another day during this week, we took a walk up to Bridal Vail Falls, the kids really love going up here and playing in this cold cold water, kids don't get cold!
