October 4th, 2013 driving to Harmony PA

We left before 7:00 am to get a good start on the day, drove on the back roads to Harmony PA. Beautiful drive, it did rain for part of the early morning - then it just got beautiful, 86 degrees and sunny, we really enjoyed all we did today.

This was our first stop, Aaronic Priesthood Monument -so cool to be here in this area

This grassy picture is the Homesite of Joseph and Emma, the white post mark the outline or size of the home, you can see stones that they used in there foundation of the actual home, they are partially covered with soil.

This home is much bigger then the small home of Joseph and Emma, they did have boarders, including Joseph Smith for a while !

Next we walked down the road a little bit and on the same side of the street as the river and you see the McKune Cemetery, this is where Emma Hales Mom and Dad are buried and there 1st little boy Alvin

They have taken the old Stone and encased it in a new marker, so I have taken a picture of the front and back of all three

I took a couple of pictures one of the sign driving up to the site - The church owns a lot of the property all around this site, it's very nice.
